SALUS

SALUS addresses the rising security and forensic challenges in IoT and cyber-physical systems. The project empowers law enforcement agencies (LEAs) with new forensic investigation schemes, digital tools, and policies for lawful evidence acquisition, cross-agency collaboration, and cyber-threat mitigation.

It integrates a Digital-Twin (DT) infrastructure with a Software-Defined Network Security-as-a-Service (SDaaSS) backbone to enable real-time IoT monitoring, threat simulation, and dynamic policy enforcement. Artificial Intelligence and blockchain-based mechanisms enhance forensic integrity, chain-of-custody, and transparency.

SALUS’s integrated ecosystem will be validated through five pilot studies involving police authorities and critical infrastructures (hospitals and nuclear facilities).

Convergence’s role

In SALUS, CONVERGENCE’s work supports the alignment of the project’s technologies and outcomes with EU values and societal expectations and coordinates the work package focused on pilot studies, system evaluation and upskilling activities. This includes coordinating end-user engagement, training, evaluation and hackathons.
