The Cynergy4MIE project officially kicked off in Limassol, Cyprus, hosted by IOTAM on September 23-24, 2024. The kickoff meeting brought together nearly 40 partners from across Europe, with AVL leading as the project coordinator. This ambitious project, funded by the Chips Joint Undertaking (ChipsJU), aims to revolutionise the European industrial landscape by leveraging synergies across the Mobility, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors, in alignment with the vision of Society 5.0.
As a key partner, Convergence will focus on ensuring that system development is aligned with societal and user acceptance, promoting bias-free, inclusive, and human-centered design. We will lead the efforts in standardization, certification, and ethical considerations to ensure that the cutting-edge technologies developed within Cynergy4MIE are not only market-ready but also compliant with regulatory standards and socially responsible. The project’s goal is to unify expertise from diverse domains to unlock synergies and foster the future of sustainable, user-centric applications. Convergence will play a pivotal role in ensuring that these technologies are developed and deployed in line with ethical standards, including human-in-the-loop approaches and a focus on inclusivity.
We look forward to working with our partners in Cynergy4MIE to drive forward this transformative project, creating a future where technology meets society’s needs in a sustainable and responsible way.
